CHRISTMAS 2008
Christmas morning Stockton was dressed in a little Santa suit, he looked so cute!! He was such a good little boy. He didn't really know what to think about his first Christmas but he liked all the lights and the noisy sounds of excitment that his sister was making. He did love one present that made a lot of music and had a mirror on it, he was looking at the lights and listening to the music so cute. He was a good little boy. He is such a sweet little baby. Madison had so much fun, she got so many fun presents. One thing that she got was a Wii, her and her Daddy were playing baseball and having a lot of fun. They weren't able to stay really long because there was a second storm coming and they had already gotten stuck in the driveway on there way in so they had to leave to beat the storm, but all in all it was a very nice Christmas Day!!!

Making a Gingerbread House
On Saturday night the girls and Madison made a Gingerbread house that turned out so cute!!! Here is a picture of the finished house with Natalie and Madison. They had so much fun, it has been so much fun this year to make Christmas memories with Madison. We have been to Winder Dairy, the Utah Christmas house Christmas shopping, and looking at lights just to name a few things. Madison is at such a fun age this year and she is so excited for Christmas, I can hardly wait because she is so excited about it.
Funny Video from Christmas Program
Here is a funny video from the Pre-School Christmas program. This was not a chrismas song but it was way cute. The kids had so much fun doing this number and it was so much fun to watch. We were so proud of little Madison, she did such a good job in her performance.
Pre-School Christmas Program
On December 19th Madison had her Pre-School Christmas preformance. It was so darn cute!! They did a bunch of Christmas songs and then they ended with a funny little number that I am posting here for everyone to see. The kids did such a good job and they had so much fun. The teachers do a really good job with the little ones and they have really taught them a lot already this year. Madison loves going to pre-school and she loves her teachers so much. It was a really snowy day and it took us over an hour to get home after it was over but it was so worth it.
I Love Christmas!!!
Madison helped decorated the stairs for Christmas, she put all the Teddy Bears on the stairs and then she played with them when she was finished. She reminded me of her mommy and her aunt Melissa because they used to do this when they were little. She is such a sweet little girl and so full of love, having her around makes the holidays so much more special!
Christmas Dance Recital
On December 12th Madison had her Christmas Dance Recital at Granger High School. She did such a good job!!! She knew her dance so well, she danced to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". She knew every dance step and didn't miss a beat, we were so proud of her. She is a really good little dancer and such a little cutie. She had her hair fixed so cute and her make-up done and looked like a little doll. We love you little Madison!!
Stockton's getting bigger
Little Stockton is growing up way too fast!! He is grandma's little man. He is at such a cute age, he is really full of smiles and he is now very alert and aware. I love to tend him and to have him over every chance I get. He has had two sleep overs at Nana and Papa's house and both nights he was such a good little boy. We love you little Stockton!!

Pumpkin Patch
On Saturday October 25th we went to a pumpkin patch to get pumpkins and go on a tractor ride. It was a really cute pumpkin patch on 118th South and 3600 West in South Jordan. They had all kinds of tractors for little kids to climb on and pretend to drive and get their pictures taken on, a corn maze, a tractor ride a pumpin patch and a lot of fun for everyone. Madison had so much fun! In this picture she is picking out a pumpkin for baby Stockton. After the pumpkin patch we went to Riley's (a little soup and sandwich shop) and had dinner. Then we went back to my house for a really fun and adventure filled evening--it's always an adverture when my girls are involved, they are so much fun. Earlier in the day we had taken the kids to Kiddie Kandids to have their pictures taken in their Halloween costumes, when we got back to my house Natalie thought we had lost the bottoms to Stockton's costume, so Melissa and I went back to KK and back tracked looking for them. I even went dumpster diving to see if the grounds people at Jordan Landing had picked them up and thrown them away. I was heart sick when I didn't find them. When I got home, Natalie lifted up a pillow on the couch and low and behold there was the missing bottoms! I was sure relieved, but I wanted to strangle her at the same time. All in all we had a really fun day.

Madison turns 4!!!
On Friday October 17th Madison turned 4, she had a really fun birthday. We took her shopping at Toys R Us and let her go crazy picking out things she wanted for her birthday, when we were checking out they gave her a birthday crown and a balloon and they sang to her over the PA system. On Friday night her birthday party was at Chuck E Cheese's, she had so much fun dancing with Chuck E and playing with her cousins on all of the little rides. It's hard to believe that she is already 4 years old, the time has flown by so fast, it seems like she was just a little baby not that long ago. She has been so much fun, we love her so much and we feel so lucky to be her grandparents. She got some really nice things for her birthday and she had a really fun couple of days celebrating it!
Whitches Festival
On Thursday October 16th we took the kids and went to the Witches Festival at Gardner Village. We had a lot of fun looking for all of the different withches and just being part of the large crowds. We went on a hay ride and then Madison went to the petting zoo and rode a pony--she had a lot of fun. Since it was UEA it was really crowded, there were so many people there, parking was crazy. Stockton was a really good baby, he slept the whole time while we walked around. We also took Grandma Great with us and then we went to Marie Callendars for dinner, all in all we had a really fun day!

Madison the "Digger Girl"
I wanted to try and add a video clip to a blog so I know this is out of order and does not fit but I wanted to try it anyway. I love this clip because Madison was digging in the garden and kept getting her hands dirty and being the little "girly girl" that she is she, she had to keep washing her hands every few seconds, it was really very cute and funny too. She is such a cutie pie and the love of my life. (I know that Natalie will have a fit when she see's it because Madison's hair was not done and it looks like she had pig tails the day before). I hope this works, I am loving playing with this new computer we just got, next I need to figure out how to upload a video from the webcam so if anyone knows how I can do that be sure and tell me.
4th and 4th
I wasn't offical tagged but Natalie tagged "anyone else who wanted to do it" so here goes... My 4th file was Disneyland 2005 and here is my 4th picture, me and Paul in the Tea Cups. I had just had knee surgery a month before we went to "The Magic Kingdom" so I was on crutches and in a wheel chair it was really hard to get in and out of the rides, I was not supposed to put any weight on my left leg for 10 weeks so we were a little crazy to even go so soon but we were meeting some of Paul's friends down there. We actually had a fun time and really enjoyed it. We've been back since then and it's a lot more fun when you can walk and can get in and out of the rides like a real person but I must admit that using the handicap line when the lines are really long is soooo nice!!! Well, that's my 4th and 4th!

Miniture Golfing
We took Madiosn miniture golfing the other night, what fun that was!! She had the best time (at least for the first few holes), then she was ready to go to dinner. She really had a lot of fun and liked hitting her golf ball. She had to have a purple ball and she loved to swing hard, it was more fun watching her play than it was playing. After we finished golfing, we went to dinner and then she had a sleep over--her second one in a row, we had a fun weekend with her while Mommy got things ready for baby brothers blessing.
Madison Mow's the Lawn
Stockton's Blessing
On Sunday Septmeber 28th Stockton was Blessed. It was a really nice day and turned out to be a nice occasion. There were about 60 people who came to church for the blessing and about 50 who came to Chris and Natalie's after for a luncheon. Stockton was such a good little boy on his special day. Chris and Natalie had spent a lot of time getting the house and yard ready for the luncheon and everything was so nice, I think everyone enjoyed themselves. They are such a cute little family.

Breaking Dawn
Okay ,so I finished Breaking Dawn, I'm not going to say much about it because some of you might be reading it for yourselves and I don't want to ruin it for you. I will say that I liked it. I think Stephanie Meyer has done a really good job in writing this saga. It's been so long
since I read the other 3 book in the series that I need to go back and re-read them. I have some students who are avid readers who were really into this whole series and I know they will be asking me if I've read this one or not, so I will be able to talk to them about it. I still think Twilight was my favorite of the 4 books, but I liked them all. I must admit that it was a much faster read than I thought it would be. If you have a while to just sit down and read, it really goes pretty fast even though it's 754 pages long. I did think the name they came up with for the baby was a little funky, so I liked the nickname Nessie! Anyway, if you've finished it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Pioneer Day Commemoration Concert
I had the opportunity to attend the Pioneer Day Commemoration Concert on the 26th of July. It featured the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with The Osmond Family as special guests. What a great concert!!! It was the end of the 50th Reunion World Tour for the Osmond Family. Donny sang a song that he had written for his son while he was serving a mission in Scotland called "Whenever You're in Trouble", it was an awesome song. Marie sang "How Great Thou Art" with the Tabernacle Choir, that was just amazing. The entire family sang "Through the Years" and they all got pretty emotional during that number especially Marie, the audience really enjoyed that song, everyone was on their feet cheering for more and many people were crying along with the Osmonds. The Osmonds sang so many of the songs that I grew up with and Donny and Marie did a segment that they used to do on the Donny and Marie show, it brought back some great memories from the late 1970's. The concert has since been shown on KBYU, I've watched it again becasue it was so good. I went with my friend Janet. We really had great seats (thanks Corrinne) and we had a great time, it was an awesome evening.
We have a new GRANDSON!!!
Stockton Dell MacDonald arrived at 8:40 P.M. Thursday August 7th, 2008. He weighted in at 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches long. He is a little cutie!!! He has a darling little round face and perfect little features. Everything went fine with the delivery, Natalie came through it like a real trouper. Stockton has the sleeping part of things mastered and is getting the eating part down pretty well. Both mommy and baby are doing fine. He looks a lot like his sister did when she was a baby and he really looks a lot like his Aunt Melissa did when she was a new born. He has already won my heart, I'm crazy about him! As you can see from the picture he is a little doll!

Breaking Dawn
Since I teach 13 and 14 year olds I've really gotten into the whole Twilight saga. Needless to say I was in line at midnight on Friday night when Breaking Dawn went on sale. My girls and I drove past the West Jordan Barnes and Noble at about 10:30 and the crowd was CRAZY!!! There were so many people there. Some were all dressed up in prom gowns, some were camped out in lawn chairs, it was beyond crazy. I had been to the neighborhood Wal-Mart earlier in the day and they were getting ready for a Breaking Dawn party to release the book so I went there instead. They had wedding decorations all over, wedding cake with black and red frosting, a fancy punch bowl (full of punch of course), trivia games and all sorts of other activities but they didn't have as big of a crowd, I only waited about 15 minutes. I'm about half way through the book (so far so good). I'll be sure and update my post and let you know how I like Breaking Dawn when I'm finished! I'm sure I will be draging my husband to see Twilight in December.

Swimming
When the temperatures hit the mid 90's it was time to fill the swimming pool for Madison. Her Mommy was at the Doctor so we were tending her for a few hours , we let her go swimming for a little while, she is a little water bug. She was squirting everyone and having so much fun. She didn't want to get out when her Mommy called to say she was on her way to pick her up and take her home.
Madison Golfing
Madison loves to Golf with Grandpa, she is teaching him how to play the game the "correct" way, she says that he swings wrong and that he needs to learn to play right if he wants her to play with him. Sometimes she gets really mad at him and picks everything up and puts it away because he won't play it the way she wants him too. She is such a funny little girl.
Dance Recital
On Friday the 13th (of June) Madison had a Dance Recital at Murray Park Ampitheater. She was in 4 dances and a tumbling number, it was a lot for a little 3 year old to remember but she did a great job. She really enjoys dancing, she is always dancing around the house and putting on a show of some kind for everyone to watch. She loves to put on her costumes and her dance shoes and dance for whoever will watch her. Her Mommy and her Aunt Melissa where also in the dance recital, it was a lot of fun watching all of them. It brought back great memories from when Natalie and Melissa were little girls like Madison, it made me realize how fast time passes, they don't stay little for very long. Madison is growing up so fast.
Disneylalnd
Although I am over 50 when it comes to Disneyland I live by the Peter Pan Motto "I Will Never Grow Up", I love everything Disney. I would go to Disneyland or one of the Disney Parks every year if I could. I just got back from Disneyland on Thursday Night, it was hot and crowded but I still had a great time. I loved going there when I was a little girl and I loved taking my girls there when they were little, it was so magical. That magic never died for me. My parents went to Disneyland with my girls and I look forward to going there with my grandkids someday.
Madison
Madison is my 3 year old granddaughter and the apple of my eye! She is the love of my life. I can't get enough of her. She is so much fun and such a cute little girl. She is so sweet and has the cutest little personality. In about 5 or 6 weeks she will have a new little brother, Stockton Dell, I can hardly wait until he joins the family. We have had so much much fun making quilts, blankets, bibs and burp pads for him and also buying blue outfits. Today we are going to help Aunt Melissa make a Pirate Quilt for him, it is really cute and very soft. He can't get here soon enough!
